Linton Cemetery offers plots in our lawn section (section 13), our thirteen monumental sections (sections 1-13) or our ashes memorial garden (section 14).

Fees

Our fee structure was developed in consultation with and approved by the Department of Health and Human Services and is adjusted annually by the CPI each 1st July. For information about any current fees please contact the Secretary.

Right of interment (ROI)

Plots can be purchased at any time for use now or in the future. This is referred to as purchasing the Right of Interment, ie. the right to use that particular cemetery plot for a burial, or for the interment of cremated remains.

The Department of Health has a very informative page available regarding Right of Interment (https://www.health.vic.gov.au/cemeteries-and-crematoria/right-of-interment) which you may find interesting.

Should you have any queries about Right of Interment or wish to purchase a ROI at Linton Cemetery, please contact our Secretary.

Plaques, Vases and Memorials

Bronze plaques and marble flower vases can be purchased via the Linton Cemetery Trust Secretary for use on graves in any section of the Cemetery.

Memorials for burials in the monumental sections should be arranged through your preferred monumental mason. They will liaise directly with the Trust regarding paperwork, fees and installation.

The Linton Cemetery Trust's Memorialisation Policy should be read by anyone wishing to install any type of memorial in the Linton Cemetery.
